I met this beauty at the Shoppers Drug Mart in the Entertainment District. Her two-tone gaze and impish defiance in the face of clearly posted signage told me right off the bat she was an at-risk canine. She now runs an academy for unwed dog mothers in the downtown core.

While others were blithely whiling away Canada Day 2008 with BBQ’d burgers and beer, our ministers were hard at work saving the soul of this Alaskan Malamute puppy in Parkdale.

Our roving ministerial team discovered this at-risk Staffordshire Terrier on Chelsea Pier all the way in New York City. Mere moments after this picture, he was leading all those guys behind him in hymns of praise.

This is Charlie. I met him at the dog bowl in Trinity Bellwoods Park. Thanks to my heroic outreach efforts, he was able to ignore his owner’s calls for up to 30 seconds.
